Abstract

In the process of working on the implementation of the rating system for assessing the student's academic achievements, the methods of forming a rating assessment were considered, the necessity of developing a rating assessment was substantiated, and the general algorithm of the rating system for assessing the results of current student control was described. Based on the analysis of progressive pedagogical experience, the structure of the rating assessment of students' academic achievements according to the content and structural components of professional training is determined and a mathematical model of rating assessment is developed. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is that the mathematical model of rating assessment of students' academic achievements in higher education institutions has been improved by applying the weighting coefficients of the criteria included in the integral assessment after group examination; an algorithm for determining the rating of the applicant has been developed. The research carried out in this paper can be used in the development of mathematical software in automated systems designed for education. The development of a mathematical model of rating assessment and the development of an algorithm for assigning rating grades of knowledge pave the way for a more objective and effective measurement of students' academic achievements. This contributes not only to improving the quality of education, but also ensures a more accurate correspondence between grades and students' actual academic achievements, which is critical for their professional development and competitiveness in the labor market. Areas for further research: Analyzing the impact of self-assessment on students' understanding and improvement of their own learning achievements; studying how different cultures perceive and respond to rating systems; analyzing the possibilities of using technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve rating systems and reduce subjectivity.
